Our Graduates

Furniture Craft School graduates work across the industry: running independent workshops, taking on bespoke commissions, restoring and conserving historic pieces, and building careers in design and business. Below is where some of our students are now, what studying fine furniture-making at FCS led to and a gallery of alumni furniture made whilst at the Furniture Craft School.

Eva Wilch

Fine Furniture Maker

Eva graduated in 2024 after doing Arts and Textiles A-levels at school. Her woodworking is explorative and experimental, inspired by real life forms and heavy use of hand tools for shaping. Following her one year course, she went on to work with renowned furniture designer and maker Marc Fish, where she was a furniture maker helping make some of the sculptural pieces both for clients and international collectors’ fairs such as PAD and the prestigious TEFAF Maastricht. Following this, she worked with renowned Homofaber Miniature maker Eric Lansdown in France. Eva is currently furthering her Furniture-making expertise studying a post-grad in Germany.

Daniel Thumwood

Furniture Maker at Sebastian Cox

Daniel is a 2025 alumni. Prior to joing the Furniture Craft School, he was a Designer and Founder of high end Harrison Ovens. After finishing his one year course, he became a fine furniture maker with sustainable British maker studio Sebastian Cox. Since, he has been making fine cabinets for the studio, as well as architectural and interior design woodwork for hotels and commercial clients.

Louis Fulford

Fine Furniture Maker, Matthew Cox Furniture

Louis graduated in 2024, having come straight from college. After graduating, he contemplated an apprenticeship abroad before finding his dream furniture making job at fine furniture makers and B-Corp Matthew Cox. He is part of the Furniture Making team there, where he is involved in making furniture pieces for the collection – ranging from tables, to desks and everything in between.

Grace Power

Fine Furniture Maker

Grace graduated in 2023, having always had a natural talent for woodwork. After the course, she set up her own independent furniture-making practice, based in East Sussex. Her cabinetry is wide-ranging: bold, practical, and built in solid natural timbers, from full van conversions to solid elm kitchens and bespoke cabinets for residential and commercial clients.

Ross Harris

Carpenter & Millwright

A 2023 alumni, Ross had dabbled with woodworking before he joined us. After graduating, he was selected to embark on the Building Craft programme at The King’s Foundation in Dumfries House, Scotland. He trained in traditional building crafts such as stonemasonry, plastering, carpentry and travelled the country working in restoration projects. Subsequently, he became a SPAB (Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings) Fellow in 2025, which is a renowned heritage training programme.

Ross is a carpenter and millwright working in conservation and restoration projects.
