Peter Quin, course director
Furniture Craft School
The school is a small and specialised teaching workshop, established by Peter Quin, a cabinet-maker and teacher with almost thirty years' experience.
Based on the beautiful Scotney Castle Estate in the south-east of England, Furniture Craft School offers a highly individual approach to teaching and learning.
Full-time courses (32 weeks)
Designing and making individual pieces of furniture to the highest standards is at the heart of what we do. The tutors have all successfully run their own studios, and the course aims to teach students the practical and professional skills that will equip them to set up their own workshops, or to be successfully employed.
Students benefit from an internationally recognised City & Guilds of London course and qualification in furniture-making.

Short courses (4–6 days)
Throughout the year, there are a series of short courses which provide the opportunity for students who wish to gain an introduction to the subject, or to further their practice of furniture-making.

The project is supported under the England Rural Development Programme by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund.
